The founders: Iris Grünewald and Antonio Fuster
Real estate is our passion, and has been part of our lives for many years. As founders of Balearic Properties, we both benefit from our family backgrounds, with deep roots in real estate:
Iris Grünewald:
I was born in Ahaus, near Münster, Germany. My father is a real estate agent with more than 25 years of experience, so buying and selling real estate has been part of my life from a very early age. I studied real estate sales at the European Training Centre for Real Estate in Bochum. After graduating, I moved to Mallorca in 1998, as I wanted the opportunity to work with people from many different nationalities. Before founding Balearic Properties with Antonio Furster, I worked in the real estate section of the Mallorcan branch of a German bank, as sales director for the south-west.

Antonio Fuster:
I'm a Mallorquiner, though I live and work on Mallorca by choice. As a child, I was naturally involved in my parent's work in their successful finca rentals business. "Prime location", "investment potential" and other real estate terms were a familiar part of my everyday life. Having met Iris and worked successfully together with her, we saw it as the logical next step to found our own real estate firm, focussed on "our" island: Balearic Properties.

Our team is composed of young, multi-lingual, service-oriented individuals with a strong background in real estate. Every client of ours - be they from Mallorca, England, Germany or France - are assured of receiving competent, friendly service in their native tongue.

Each of our staff members is specialised in particular regions of the island, so they are better able to provide precisely-tailored advice and information for our clients.
We divide our regions of specialisation into the following main island zones:

• North and north-west: Pollenca, Puerto de Pollenca and Alcudia plus Deia, Valldemossa, Soller and Fornalutx
• South-east: Santanyi, Cala d'Or, Portocolom and Portopetro
• South-west and Palma: Port d'Andratx and Palma-Stadt plus the area around Palma and the central region of the island |
We have offices in Pollenca, Puerto de Pollenca, and since April 2005, in response to popular demand, in Cala d'Or.
In the south-west and in Palma we work together with our trusted partners who are specialised in the region, and who are ready to provide you with individual customer service on site. |
